About the Role
The Senior Director of Business Development, Brand Activation and Events at Spiro is a remote US opportunity that focuses on driving proactive sales and prospecting, building relationships with blue-chip clients, and leading strategic RFP responses. This role partners with New Business Development colleagues to uncover, qualify, and close net-new business while coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver valuable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Pipeline Growth (70%):
- Manage a robust prospecting strategy targeting blue-chip clients.
- Maintain and prioritize prospect lists in Salesforce CRM.
- Use Monday.com for pipeline organization and pitch coordination.
- Initiate and nurture relationship-building contact with prospects.
- Travel up to 30% to attend industry events and networking forums.
Sales Execution & KPI Accountability:
- Deliver on FY25 sales targets, aiming for $5–$7MM net-new revenue.
- Set and achieve weekly KPI goals in collaboration with leadership.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain CRM data.
- Break down annual sales goals into actionable plans.
Proposal & RFP Leadership (30%):
- Collaborate with subject experts to develop strategic RFP responses.
- Coordinate timelines and resource allocation via Monday.com.
- Organize and direct pitch presentations aligned with client objectives.
Client Intelligence & Industry Awareness:
- Research client challenges and industry trends.
- Stay informed on competitor activities and emerging opportunities.
- Tailor outreach and proposals to resonate with client needs.
Requirements
Candidates should be team players with a positive, high-energy approach. A demonstrated ability to close large-scale deals, proficiency with Salesforce and Monday.com, and a readiness to travel up to 30% is essential. Within 30 days, understand team dynamics and basic job functions. By 60 days, operate independently on basic functions and start more complex tasks. At 90 days, take ownership of specific projects.
