Job Description
Position Overview: Account Director - Brand Activations and Events
As Spiro continues its impressive growth as part of the GES Collective, we are hiring an Account Director to join our Brand Activation & Events (BAE) team. The Account Director serves as the day-to-day leader and strategic partner for assigned client portfolios. This role is responsible for driving client retention, growth, and profitability, while ensuring excellence across all facets of delivery — from creative development to on-site execution.
You will lead annual planning and serve as the primary client steward, guiding cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, production, and project management to deliver seamless, innovative experiences. You’ll also mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with senior leadership to achieve portfolio and agency objectives.
Overall responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Account Ownership & Strategic Client Stewardship
- Own the primary client relationship for assigned accounts, driving retention, satisfaction, and long-term partnership strength.
- Lead annual planning and ensure experiential programs align to client business objectives and brand priorities.
- Position Spiro as a strategic partner by bringing forward insights, innovation, and integrated experience recommendations.
Commercial Growth & Expansion
- Identify and convert organic growth opportunities, including cross-sell of broader experiential, content, digital, and sponsorship extensions.
- Partner with senior leadership on account expansion strategy, pipeline development, and proactive opportunity shaping.
Financial Accountability (Account-Level P&L)
- Own full P&L responsibility, including forecasting, profitability, margin performance, and scope discipline.
- Establish governance around change control, approvals, and financial risk mitigation across programs.
Integrated Delivery Leadership
- Ensure integration across strategy, creative, production, and operations — delivering experiences that are consistent, scalable, and brand-right.
- Lead key client milestone moments including kickoff, creative reviews, site visits, and onsite execution.
Measurement & Performance Storytelling
- Ensure programs are designed with measurable outcomes in mind, contributing to ROI narratives and post-event impact reporting.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- When applicable, lead and develop AADs and AMs, creating accountability, clarity, and a strong culture of service excellence.
Qualifications
We understand the importance of transferable skills and a diverse perspective, so if you do not fit all these requirements, we still want to hear from you and encourage you to apply!

- 8+ years of progressive account leadership experience in experiential marketing, events, or integrated agency environments.
