Position Overview

The Building Services Technician Administration Chicago Office is responsible for general maintenance of the building and grounds at the Chicago office. You will assist with coordinating major building projects and routine building/lawn maintenance.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs as needed
  • Maintain landscaping including mowing, weed control, and projects
  • Handle housekeeping duties to uphold a professional image
  • Paint, remodel, and refurbish areas as required
  • Manage fleet vehicle servicing
  • Assist with additional work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree with one year of related experience or a high school equivalent with three-plus years' experience. Candidates must have physical mobility, moderate work stamina, close visual acuity, and working computer knowledge. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills are required. Special Olympics experience and a passion for the mission is highly valued. A valid driver's license is necessary.

Work Schedule

Based in the Chicago IL Office, this role reports to the Director - Administration. The schedule is Monday through Friday with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and occasional in-state travel, including overnight stays.

Benefits

Employees earn 2 hours of paid time off for every 35 hours worked with up to 13 days carried over annually. 401(k) options are available for those working over 1,000 hours annually.
