Global Commodity Category Leader, Electronics (Actives, Passives, EMD)- Individual Contributor role. This position is a remote-based role that would require up to 10% travel to manufacturing sites or for trainings. The selected candidate will need to be located East of Denver, Colorado. US Citizen or Permanent Residents Only; We cannot sponsor Visas. The primary role of this position is to manage short- and long-term commodity, contracts, and supplier management strategies for the electronics commodity. Develop commodity strategy roadmap with suppliers; manage suppliers through objective measurements. Organize and negotiate supplier contracts. Ensures selected suppliers provide the best quality, delivery, cost and support available on the global market for assigned commodities. Coordinates with business units supply chain and materials management teams to ensure the assigned commodities are globally leveraged with primary suppliers.What You'll Do
The Global Commodity Category Leader, Electronics is responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies consistent with quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Assigned Commodities include but are not limited to: Electronic components (Actives/Passives/Electromechanical Devices). Locate, negotiate with and develop strategic suppliers globally to ensure continuous improvement in quality, delivery, inventory, cost, support, and technological capability. Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to obtain Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. Build internal strategic partnerships across company including site operations, procurement, quality, and operations teams. Manage the transition of material or service to the most competitive global suppliers, ensuring continuous availability of material or service. Maintain current knowledge regarding global market conditions affecting supply chain, develop and defend with data, corresponding strategies to ensure meeting policy deployment objectives. Proficient utilization of web-based procurement tools and online bidding activity to ensure performance objectives are realized. Monitors supplier performance holding suppliers accountable for performance levels. Supports competitive quoting and source select new customer opportunities. Lead process improvement projects.Key Metrics and Focus Areas
Education/License/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in materials, business management, or supply chain management. Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in international manufacturing/ supply chain sourcing. Industry experience in Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, and Industrial. Travel Required- Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to, but not limited to 25%.Requirements and Skills
Strong track record of high-level negotiations and contract development/execution. Intermediate to advanced competency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of supplier relationships, contract negotiations, JIT/demand flow philosophies, and legal issues involved with purchasing. This Exempt role is a salaried position with a range of $120,000-$145,000/annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, education, years of relevant experience, certifications, and specific expertise sourcing in the electronics manufacturing industry.Our Benefits
