A Day in the Life
As a Principal Technical Product Manager, you will:
- Define and own product strategy aligned with company goals.
- Establish best practices for product lifecycle management and scalability.
- Design solutions for reliability, security, and user/developer experience.
- Build and maintain a balanced product roadmap.
- Partner with engineering teams, serve as product owner, and manage backlogs.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives across multiple products and platforms.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision: Define product strategy and evangelize governance, lifecycle management, and long-term scalability.
Roadmap & Execution: Plan and manage product roadmap, partner with engineering, own backlogs, and drive cross-functional solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal business units and external partners to ensure product adoption and value delivery.
Governance & Standards: Define product governance processes and ensure compliance with enterprise-grade requirements.
What It Takes
Qualifications: 8–10+ years of product management experience with a strong technical aptitude. Previous experience in senior/principal roles, hands-on product ownership, and managing technical products within an enterprise environment is essential. Exceptional communication skills and proven success in driving cross-functional alignment are required.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with software development, solution architecture, and consulting is a plus, especially in sectors like financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing.
