Overview

SpaceX is on a mission to advance human spaceflight and enable future missions to Mars. As a GNC Engineer Dragon, you will contribute to the design, optimization, and analysis of trajectories for both crew and cargo missions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion analysis for Crew and Cargo Dragon missions.
  • Implement new software or algorithms for mission-specific capabilities.
  • Select flight constants and guidance parameters.
  • Perform post-flight data review and correlate with analyses.
  • Manage mission operations support and test flight software.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual mission requirements and interface with NASA.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
  • 1+ years of experience in orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with C++ and/or Python.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Advanced degree in physics or related engineering field.
  • 2+ years professional experience with orbital mechanics, dynamics, and simulation.
  • Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft systems.
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently and in teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements

Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
