Summary/Objectives
The Cybersecurity Analyst I Remote is responsible for collecting, analyzing, validating, monitoring, and responding to cybersecurity intelligence and events. This role involves day-to-day operational tasks using SIEM and other security tools to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
Essential Functions
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor security solutions and review logs from various devices.
- Investigate anomalous activities and serve as a first responder.
- Provide feedback to improve security rules and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence teams and third-party vendors.
- Participate in incident response efforts and on-call rotations.
Competencies
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical abilities, detail orientation, and a proactive mindset. Effective communication in English and ability to present technical information in a user-friendly manner are essential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience in Information Security or related field.
- Two or more years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in a financial institution.
- Certifications such as GIAC, CompTIA Security+ or similar are preferred.
Work Environment & Travel
This is a remote role requiring a secure home office with a reliable internet connection. Occasional travel may be required for meetings.
Compensation
Anticipated salary is between $85,153 and $136,024, based on skills, experience, and education.
