The Opportunity
As an Online Adjunct Faculty - Information Technology, you will:
- Provide guidance via pre-developed online courses.
- Engage students by offering instruction, feedback, and experiential learning.
- Report to the faculty dean team.
What You'll Do
Prioritize Student Engagement: Respond within set timeframes and connect students with resources. Encourage participation and build faculty-student relationships.
Share Expertise and Resources: Stay updated in your field, share real-world experience, and explain complex topics clearly.
Offer Feedback & Assessment: Evaluate student work and provide constructive, individualized feedback to promote growth.
Facilitate Discussions: Foster an inclusive and respectful online dialogue that encourages diverse perspectives.
Courses Taught
- IT-260: Web-Oriented Services
- IT-272: Cross Platform Technologies
- IT-313: Risk Management and Mitigation in System Design
- IT-337: User-Centered Systems Design and Evaluation
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Full Stack development experience.
- Cloud experience/certification (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, etc.).
- Experience in risk management, user-centered design, usability engineering, and testing.
Compensation & Benefits
Undergraduate courses are compensated at $2,200 for an 8-week term and graduate courses at $2,500 for a 10-week term. Benefits include an employer-funded retirement plan, free tuition program, and professional development opportunities.
