Online Adjunct Faculty, Human Services at Southern New Hampshire University
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is seeking dedicated and experienced Online Adjunct Faculty to join its Human Services program within the Global Campus. This remote role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by fostering an engaging and inclusive asynchronous learning environment.
As an Online Adjunct Faculty, Human Services, you will guide students through pre-developed online courses, providing essential instruction, constructive feedback, and experiential learning opportunities. Your primary goal will be to support students in achieving their academic and career aspirations by connecting them with resources and promoting active participation. You will report to the faculty dean team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize Student Engagement: Respond to student inquiries within established timeframes, proactively reach out to students requiring additional support, and connect them with holistic resources. Encourage collaboration and foster strong faculty-student relationships to enhance learning outcomes and skill development.
- Share Expertise and Resources: Maintain current knowledge in your field, share practical experience, and recommend supplementary materials that enrich student understanding of course content. Simplify complex topics into accessible explanations.
- Offer Feedback & Assessment: Evaluate student assignments and provide individualized, timely, and constructive feedback to facilitate student growth and mastery of course objectives.
- Facilitate Discussions: Promote student interaction and active participation in online discussions, cultivating an inclusive, engaging, and respectful environment that encourages open dialogue and diverse perspectives.

- HSE351 - Substance Use: From Prevention to Treatment
- HSE352 - Substance Use: Counseling Theory and Practice
- HSE410 - Case Management
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- 2 years or more of professional experience in the relevant field.
- For HSE-351 and HSE-352: Licensed alcohol drug counselor or professional license/certification in a counseling-related field with experience in addictions.
Compensation & Benefits
The standard compensation for courses is $2,200 per 8-week undergraduate course and $2,500 per 10-week graduate course. SNHU offers exceptional benefits, including an employer-funded retirement plan, a free tuition program, and professional development opportunities.
