Online Adjunct Faculty, Criminal Justice at Southern New Hampshire University

We currently have remote adjunct opportunities available in all US States, with the exception of California.

The Opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking Online Adjunct Faculty within our Criminal Justice program for Global Campus. In this remote position, you will engage students in an asynchronous and inclusive learning environment by providing guidance and resources in a pre-developed online course. You will support students by offering instruction, feedback, and experiential and application-based learning, helping them achieve their learning and career goals. You will report to the faculty dean team.

  • CJ315 - Victimology

What You'll Do

  • Prioritize Student Engagement: Work with students by responding within set timeframes and reaching out to students needing additional support. Recognize student needs holistically and connect them with relevant resources. Encourage participation, collaboration, and strong faculty-student relationships to enhance learning and build essential skills.
  • Share Expertise and Resources: Stay current in your field of expertise, share your professional experience, and recommend relevant supplementary materials to deepen student understanding of course content. Find accessible ways to explain complex topics effectively.
  • Offer Feedback & Assessment: Evaluate student work and provide individualized, constructive feedback within established timeframes to promote growth and mastery of course outcomes.
  • Facilitate Discussions: Encourage active student interaction through robust online discussions, promoting an inclusive, engaging, and respectful environment that fosters open dialogue and diverse perspectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • 2 years or more of professional experience in the criminal justice field.

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,200 per 8-week undergraduate course and $2,500 per 10-week graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
