This is a hands-on, meaningful role where your skills and presence have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives. Every day brings variety and purpose, whether providing one-on-one support, coordinating memorials and reflections, or mentoring volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing tailored emotional and spiritual support
- Supporting individuals through grief, illness, and end-of-life experiences
- Helping people connect with what gives them meaning, purpose, and comfort
- Planning and coordinating memorial services, reflections, and visits from community groups
- Sharing wellbeing insights through care planning, meetings, and documentation
- Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting volunteers who contribute to resident and client wellbeing
What you bring
- Minimum 1 Unit of CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) or equivalent
- Experience in aged care pastoral/spiritual care
- Understanding of person-centred care principles
- Compassionate and reflective listener with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting volunteers in a care setting (Desirable)
- Qualification in training and education (Desirable)
