Pricing Analyst (Pricing & Rates)

This role at Southern Company, located at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA, requires the Pricing Analyst to manage technical requirements for Georgia Power’s complex commercial and industrial pricing products, including the nation’s largest Real Time Pricing program. Partial relocation may be offered.

Job Summary

The Pricing Analyst develops pricing analyses, scenarios, risk management products, and interruptible program options. This role covers over 2,500 major customer accounts and supports contract compliance, governance, rate case needs, and special projects focused on large load customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create load shapes and update Customer Baseline Load for analyses and billing.
• Generate Fixed Pricing Alternative offers and develop risk management products.
• Operate and support software tools (BillGen, eLDV, CIT, CAT, Energy Direct, etc.).
• Conduct extensive data analysis and support RTP pricing delivery.
• Manage contract compliance, prepare reports, and support rate case analyses.
• Participate in marginal pricing, demand response, and special projects.

Job Requirements

A 4-year degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical field is required; an MBA is a plus. Candidates should have experience in Pricing, Planning, Finance, or related fields along with superior Excel skills and strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills.
