Southcare Administration Officer at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD)

We are seeking 2 x Administration Officers (Level 4) on a permanent part-time basis to join our team. This opportunity is for reliable and experienced Administration Officers interested in working as part of our Administration team, providing a high standard of administrative service to the clinical teams that make up Southcare Aged and Extended Community Care.

There are two Level 4 Administration Officer roles available, with different part-time schedules:

  • Friday, Monday & Tuesday - 24 hours per week
  • Thursday, Friday, & Monday - 20 hours per week

Where You'll Be Working

You'll be working as part of a large multidisciplinary team that supports patients in the community. Southcare, part of The Sutherland Hospital, is a significant multidisciplinary Community Service comprising Community Nursing, Community Rehabilitation, Allied Health, and Medical Staff Specialist teams. These teams work cohesively to assist our elderly to stay fit and remain living at home. This role will operate within the Administration team, which plays an integral part in facilitating the effective coordination and execution of all administrative tasks throughout Southcare.

This role provides a range of administrative and clerical support services to the clinical teams of Southcare - Aged and Extended Community Care at The Sutherland Hospital. You will be responsible for assisting our administration team to provide support across a number of our clinical services at Southcare. You will perform a wide variety of administration tasks, including processing referrals for Southcare, assisting with running outpatient clinics, and other ad-hoc tasks to ensure an exceptional standard of administrative support, enabling Southcare to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-level administrative support in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports, documents, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to respond and work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and monitor workflow.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as experience with hospital health information systems - eMR, Scheduler, iPM, and PBRC.
