Job Description
About the School Hubs Coordinator Role
This part-time role supports community hubs in primary schools across Fairfield and Bankstown LGAs. You will work with Community Hub Leaders and school principals to empower refugee and migrant families through place-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating community hubs and supporting hub leaders.
- Building relationships with schools and local community partners.
- Traveling locally in Southwest Sydney and occasional interstate travel.
- Providing support through coaching, parent education, and service coordination.
- Managing reports, data, and communications effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must have demonstrated experience in social/health services, education, or community services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team collaboration, conflict resolution and strong time management are essential. A clear understanding of community-based services and local multicultural needs is required.
Employment Details
- Part time - 28 hours per week (parental leave cover) until 30 April 2027
- Operational base: Karitane Linking Families – Fairfield Heights with a mid-year move to Karitane Carramar
- May involve telehealth services from home
- Adherence to NSW Health vaccination policies and occupational checks required
