An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Administration Officer to join the Allied Health team at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) in a permanent part-time position, working 3 days per week (Wednesday – Friday) from 8am-4:30pm.
This is a varied role primarily focused on providing efficient reception and administrative support services for the Allied Health Department. You will be customer-focused, organized, and motivated, assisting managers and staff to ensure departmental objectives are achieved in a timely, reliable, and effective manner.
Where You'll Be Working
You will work closely with another Administration Officer, with a crossover day mid-week, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary teams within our Allied Health Department at The Sutherland Hospital, Caringbah.

The Administration Officer - Receptionist will perform a range of reception duties, including the coordination of outpatient clinic bookings, as well as providing comprehensive administrative, secretarial, and clerical support. This support is crucial for enabling Sutherland Hospital Allied Health services to meet their objectives efficiently and reliably.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks under general instruction, requiring minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated professional attitude with the ability to confidently and courteously deal with a variety of people.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent word processing and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of or previous use of medical terminology or willingness to learn.
- Previous experience with medical billing systems or willingness to learn.
- Previous experience with electronic booking systems or willingness to learn.
