Are you a motivated and dynamic individual with high-level administrative experience ready to lead a compassionate and caring administrative team? South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer, Level 5, to join the Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service (ESMHS) as a Supervisor for Community Mental Health.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position, offering a remuneration of $79,171.07 - $80,966.53 per annum, plus superannuation, for 38 hours per week.
About the Role
The Administration Officer, Level 5, will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and clerical support services, ensuring the Community Mental Health Service team achieves its objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner. As the Administration Supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct line management of administrative staff across Community Mental Health Centres, Child Psychiatry, and Adolescent Psychiatry. Your management duties will include work allocation, staff appraisals, and development.
Furthermore, this role involves coordinating administrative systems, procedures, and staff to empower clinical teams within the Community Mental Health Centres, Child Psychiatry, and Adolescent Psychiatry services. You will also provide high-level administrative and secretarial support directly to the Community Service Manager.
Where You'll Be Working
This position is based within Community Mental Health, Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service, located on the Prince of Wales Hospital campus in Randwick, Sydney. Travel to other ESMHS sites within SESLHD may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

Selection Criteria
Candidates for the Administration Officer, Level 5 role should demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience providing high-calibre administrative support to senior staff and management, coupled with exceptional organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a supervisory capacity, including experience in managing workflow, delegating tasks to junior administrative staff, and providing appropriate monitoring and coaching for performance.
- Capacity to work and act independently and proactively to meet role responsibilities, focusing on timeliness, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
- Skill in developing business processes that enhance administrative functions, with the ability to identify, analyse, suggest solutions, and resolve problems related to business support.
- High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, alongside a strong customer service approach.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality service and driving quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in supporting business processes through various software and systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office packages (Word, Outlook, Excel), HealthRoster, Recruitment and Onboarding, Oracle, Winc, Finsbury, eMR, iPM, Stafflink, and TRIM.
