Smatched is the go-to monetization platform for online communities and online games looking to unlock revenue from their non-paying user base. We help platforms increase profits without harming user experience, offer users free in-game currency and digital benefits, enable participation in thousands of surveys from leading global market research institutions, and monetize users at zero cost to the end user.

Instead of traditional monetization models, we provide a win-win solution: users earn rewards, game studios increase ARPU, and market research institutions gain high-quality participants.

We are now preparing for our next growth phase. We are currently a small and highly entrepreneurial team of 2 founders. Smatched is run as a serious venture – but as a side project supported by stable revenue streams from our other entrepreneurial activities. This allows us to grow sustainably without financial pressure.

The technology is built and validated. We are now at the stage where:

• Adjustments and optimizations are needed
• Client-specific onboarding processes must be implemented
• Infrastructure must be prepared for scaling

This does not require full-time commitment – but it requires ownership.

Tasks for the Part-Time CTO

We are looking for a Part-Time CTO who wants to:

• Take technical ownership of the platform
• Oversee backend and frontend architecture
• Improve and optimize existing infrastructure
• Lead technical client integrations
• Ensure scalability and performance
• Think strategically about product evolution

Required Skills

• Strong backend experience (APIs, databases, server architecture)
• Strong frontend understanding (UX, integrations, dashboards)
• Experience with scalable systems
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions
• Entrepreneurial mindset

Bonus Skills

• Experience in adtech, martech, gaming, survey tech, or monetization models
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Startup experience
