Role Overview: Coding Compliance Educator
The Coding Compliance Educator works under the supervision of the Director of Compliance Operations to ensure consistent coding and documentation guidance across the organization. This role involves managing provider inquiries, crafting education materials, analyzing audit trends, and presenting in leadership meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Train providers and clinical leadership on coding guidelines, ICD10, MDM, and CPT coding.
- Create presentations and job aids on coding rules.
- Review new CPT guidelines and develop updated education material.
- Analyze audit results to identify improvement areas in coding practices.
- Coordinate regular site meetings to improve clinical documentation and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in coding compliance with focus on education or auditing.
- Coding certification required (CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
