Role Overview
Sotheby’s is seeking a Staff Product Designer to define design strategy and goals for the Client Experience group. This includes website, mobile applications, and internal products. In this role, you will develop hypotheses, build wireframes, test designs, conduct user research, manage timelines, gather feedback, iterate designs, and guide the design team.
Responsibilities
- Map user journeys and identify design gaps.
- Lead product teams through the entire UX/UI design lifecycle.
- Create personas, user journeys, and scenarios.
- Develop proprietary design systems for digital auction and sales platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers for on-time delivery.
Qualifications
Requires a Master’s degree in Design Studies, Industrial Design, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in user-centered design. Must have extensive experience with user flows, wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, Interaction Design (IxD), Information Architecture (IA), mobile-native application design, graphical concepts, and both low- and high-fidelity prototyping. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Axure, Mural, Miro, and Lottie is essential. Required certifications include NN/g and SAFe.
Additional Details
Telecommuting benefit is available. Up to 10% domestic travel is required. Job location: New York, NY. Rate of pay: $170,000.00 – $195,000.00 per year.
