Role Summary

As a Software Engineer 2 - Backend at Sortly, you will write clean, testable code, conduct code reviews and contribute in architecture discussions. You will build and maintain reliable backend services, ensure system uptime, and resolve issues through effective debugging and root cause analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Write clean, readable and testable code
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute in design & architecture discussions
  • Build reliable and performant product features
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure site uptime
  • Own production features/services and address root causes of issues

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a backend engineer in product companies
  • Strong knowledge of at least one coding language and quick adaptability
  • Analytical mindset with a first principles approach
  • Effective debugging skills
  • Passionate and self-motivated with a drive for high-quality work
