The Opportunity: Sales Planning & Operations Coordinator
We are excited to offer a new opportunity within our Global Formats and Brand Licensing team based in London. This team is dedicated to expanding the reach of our Unscripted and Scripted formats, such as "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and "Dragons’ Den," by launching and supporting local adaptations globally. The Brand Licensing team extends Sony Pictures' intellectual property through consumer products, mobile games, live events, and digital/social media.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Licensing Deals Project (Initial 6 Months)
- Source and centralize all Brand Licensing revenue contracts and amendments within the SharePoint repository.
- Enter all Brand Licensing revenue deals into S2F and manage unbilled revenue in collaboration with local Finance teams.
- Maintain project trackers and communicate progress to all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop process documentation for new workflows and deal entry procedures with the EMEA Central Sales Planning team.
- Design reports to keep the VP, Brand Management and Interactives Strategy informed on deal statuses.
Deal Management & Administration
- Set up and meticulously maintain deals in Sales & Rights Management systems (RPM and S2F).
- Ensure all contractual obligations and deadlines are met.
- Support deal execution by collaborating with Sales and Legal on contract drafting and documentation.
- Track the workflow of contract, amendment, and notification processes, managing client schedules and availability lists.
- Liaise with Finance regarding customer checks, invoicing, payment issues, and audit queries.
- Contact clients to follow up on outstanding reports.
- Ensure adherence to all Sales Planning Procedures through appropriate reviews and approvals.
- Facilitate clear information flow between local and central teams by working closely with Sales and Planning in various territories.
Process Optimisation
- Serve as the primary contact for Formats and Brand Licensing deal management, guiding Sales planning processes for Sales and Planning teams.
- Keep process documentation for formats and Brand Licensing deal entry current.
- Build strong relationships with LATAM and APAC teams to ensure process alignment and accurate system reflection of deals and forecasts.
Reporting
- Take ownership of regular and ad hoc Sales reporting, providing clear insights into performance, pipeline, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager to prepare Global Formats budget presentations, including data consolidation, analysis, and commercial commentary.
- Continuously maintain and develop the Print Opportunity Database.
Forecasting & Planning
- Maintain and update forecasts in RPM, processing changes promptly and keeping Senior Manager and Sales Teams informed.
- Assist with variance analysis on product, deals, or market assumptions to support Sales in forecast preparation.
- Proactively follow up during critical periods (e.g., year-end) to ensure accuracy of deals, forecasts, and budget reports.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum undergraduate degree preferred (not essential).
- Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (Pivot Tables & Formulae), with comfort in learning new systems.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, meaningful insights.
- Effective management of priorities and competing deadlines.
- Proactive and adaptable, anticipating needs and taking initiative.
