Role Overview
The Assistant, Artist Development role at Sony Music Entertainment is part of the AWAL team in New York. Reporting to AWAL’s SVP, Artist Development & Catalog, you will support the Artist Development team through administrative, project, and creative tasks that advance artists' careers.
What You'll Do
- Provide administrative and project support for the Artist Development team.
- Process project invoices and vendor setups.
- Maintain a tour date database and coordinate ticket buys and guest lists.
- Distribute team updates, release schedules, marketing assets, and links.
- Schedule and attend meetings, take notes, and circulate agendas.
- Contribute creative marketing and content ideas.
- Assist with social media trends research and reporting.
- Manage a calendar for key cultural anniversaries and events.
- Provide office support including liaising with building staff and managing supplies.
- Support the SVP, Artist Development and Catalog, and assist when the CEO is in New York.
Who You Are
- Experience at a music company, management company or agency.
- Passionate about music and AWAL’s mission of supporting independent artists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Eager to learn, grow, and embrace change.
- Strong proficiency with GSuite tools, especially Google Slides.
