Position Summary

The IVI Software Diagnostics Engineer role is designed to accelerate bug-fix cycles for the Android Automotive–based AFEELA cockpit. You will transform field-collected telemetry into actionable defect reports and work across vehicle, mobile, and cloud boundaries. This involves triaging issues on IVI benches and test vehicles and developing tools for automated log analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end triage of IVI issues across multiple platforms.
  • Ingest, sync, and analyze logs from Android, QNX, and network traces.
  • Reproduce customer-reported symptoms on IVI benches and test vehicles.
  • Develop tools and dashboards for automated log analysis and reporting.
  • Refine Jira templates and standardize playbooks for improved workflows.
  • Summarize findings and produce clear, actionable reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years experience debugging embedded systems with at least 2 on Android Automotive or AOSP platforms.
  • Proficient in analyzing Android/QNX crash dumps and system logs.
  • Strong Linux OS and IVI system knowledge.
  • Ability to correlate telemetry across multiple layers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tracing tools like Perfetto or QNX System Profiler.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test environments.
  • Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks and ECU diagnostics.

Additional Details

This position is primarily on-site in Culver City, CA with a transition to Torrance, CA in Fall 2025. Occasional travel for on-vehicle testing is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary

The anticipated annual base salary is between $120,000 and $135,000, based on qualifications and experience.
