Position Summary

The Manager Software Engineering will lead a dynamic team of developers while actively contributing to software development projects at SONIFI Solutions, Inc. This role requires both leadership and technical expertise to ensure high-quality and innovative solution delivery and timely project execution.

Essential Functions

  • Lead, coach, and support a collaborative team of software engineers.
  • Promote agile principles and continuous improvement.
  • Implement processes into the SDLC for high-quality delivery.
  • Drive timely estimates and support cross-team planning.
  • Participate in feature reviews with multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Program Management partners.
  • Manage performance reviews and team skill development.
  • Facilitate open communication and problem solving.
  • Manage capacity and communicate resource gaps.
  • Improve delivery through automation and tooling.
  • Assist in technology evaluations and prototyping.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance.
  • Review code and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications (Know How)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
  • Minimum 4 years managing software engineering teams.
  • At least 10 years coding experience.
  • Experience in Agile software delivery.
  • Full stack web development experience.
  • Proficiency with AWS (CDK, Lambdas, etc.), Python, Typescript/JavaScript, and databases.
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary & Benefits

The annual salary starts between $100,000 - $140,000. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health, dental, vision, retirement plan, pet insurance, on-demand pay, and more. Sioux Falls office employees enjoy a casual dress environment, onsite fitness facility, and full cafeteria.
