About The Role
The Legal Assistant will support attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced personal injury law environment. This remote full-time role involves client interaction, case management, and administrative support with a focus on litigation and pre-litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact for clients, provide case updates, scheduling assistance, and support new client onboarding by collecting info and setting expectations.
Case Management Support: Open, organize, and maintain client files in legal case management systems, draft routine legal documents, manage deadlines, and perform preliminary legal research.
Administrative & Litigation Support: Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation by assembling exhibits, witness lists, and handling office tasks like scanning and filing.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and administrative staff to ensure smooth case progression and improve office procedures.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Administrative Assistant; personal injury law experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems (Filevine experience is a bonus).
- Strong organizational, time-management skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
