Overview

The Financial Modeling Analyst role is for a fast-growing technology company building reinforcement learning and secure VM infrastructure. The company is expanding its in-house finance team to create a specialized group focused on building, stress-testing, and reviewing financial models for both customer projects and internal decision-making.

The Opportunity

Join a high-velocity internal consulting pod. You will develop new financial models, review and refine existing ones, and provide clear recommendations to technical and business stakeholders. This role spans investment banking, private equity-style modeling, and targeted accounting analysis under a U.S. company context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling: Build, audit, and maintain complex models for scenario analysis, valuation, market sizing, and unit economics.
  • Model Review & Refinement: Critically assess models to check logic, reconcile assumptions, and propose enhancements.
  • Strategic Communication: Translate business questions into clear model structures and concise memos.
  • Process & Collaboration: Partner with engineering and operations for data inputs and version control.
  • Standardization: Establish templates, quality control checklists, and best practices.

What You Bring

Deep modeling experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance is required. Applicants must demonstrate speed and accuracy with advanced spreadsheet skills in Excel or Google Sheets and have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience auditing models, familiarity with tech or AI-driven businesses, and exposure to valuation or transaction work across sectors is a plus.

Work Setup

This is a full-time remote position with a flexible schedule requiring 4-6 hours overlap with U.S. (Pacific or Eastern) time zones. Brand-new equipment and a secure IT environment are provided.
