Design Specialist Drafting
Position: Design Specialist Drafting
Working Hours: Monday to Fridays; 8AM to 5PM EST
Location: Remote
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in CAD software, and capable of delivering quality work under deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive shop drawings using 3D CAD software (Rhinoceros), including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed views.
- Develop accurate bills of material (BOM) and calculate quantities for company-provided accessories.
- Generate material takeoffs (MTO) for each product within the project scope.
- Implement revisions and updates to drawings based on feedback from Engineering, Project Management, General Contractors, and Architects.
- Collaborate effectively with internal team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and PDF tools such as Bluebeam.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and perform under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail with high standards for accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of construction principles, methods, and terminology.
