Job Description
Business Development Specialist (Legal Investigations)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Business Development Specialist to bridge the gap between complex investigative services and the legal community. This is not a traditional sales role — it requires a deep understanding of the legal landscape and tactical investigative expertise. As the face of the Investigations division, you will build a strong digital presence, establish thought leadership within the legal industry, and work closely with the Director of Investigations to demonstrate how specialized services give law firms a competitive edge in litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Brand Architecture
- Curate and maintain a professional presence on LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Facebook.
- Manage personal-professional profiles and contribute high-value content to company pages to generate inbound leads.
Educational Programming
- Design and deliver presentations tailored to the needs of attorneys and law firms.
- Host a monthly virtual coffee hour, acting as a subject matter expert on investigative services such as skip tracing, surveillance, asset searches, and deep-dive background investigations.
Strategic Collaboration
- Meet weekly with the Director of Investigations to align outreach strategies.
- Support the Director during high-level presentations and client consultations.
Continuous Mastery
- Dedicate weekly time to studying the service catalog, case studies, and evolving investigative technologies to ensure 100% technical accuracy during presentations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Pedigree
- Strong legal or investigative background. Preferred candidates include former paralegals, military investigators (CID, NCIS, AFOSI), and government agency investigators (FBI, DEA, state-level agencies).
Communication Mastery
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to translate investigative tradecraft into actionable legal insights.
Tech-Savvy
- Proficient in social media management, virtual meeting platforms (Zoom/Teams), and presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva).
Analytical Mindset
- Ability to digest complex investigative reports and clearly communicate their value to legal counsel.
Work Environment & Schedule
- 100% Remote: Must maintain a professional home office suitable for video conferencing.
- Weekly Synergy: Mandatory weekly briefings with leadership to review metrics and refine messaging.
Why Join Us
This role offers the autonomy of a remote position while engaging at a high executive level. You will not just be selling — you will educate the legal community on tools and services that help secure justice.
