Overview

The Billing Assistant position is an entry-level role ideal for gaining experience in healthcare and human services billing. You will support providers serving individuals with intellectual disabilities by preparing and submitting billing claims for multiple group homes and a day program. Training is provided and prior experience in billing or Medicaid is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit billing claims for residential and day program services.
  • Verify service documentation and authorizations before billing.
  • Track claims through electronic billing systems and reconcile payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing submissions and payments.
  • Communicate with provider staff and payers to resolve issues.
  • Generate billing reports for management.
  • Learn Medicaid Waiver Billing Requirements and other guidelines.
  • Future responsibility includes supporting billing for the company’s own services.

Position Details

This is a full-time, independent contractor agreement role open to candidates from the LATAM region, The Philippines, and South Africa. Salary ranges from $1,400 to $1,900 USD monthly based on experience.
