The Role of a Graduate Digital Consultant
This role offers a dynamic entry into Business Consulting and Design. Following an initial training period, you will join a project as part of a larger team, receiving hands-on guidance from senior consultants across various practices.
Over two years, you will rotate through diverse disciplines, gaining practical experience and insights into areas such as user research, interaction design, business analysis, and content design. You will contribute to impactful projects within high-performing teams, from large-scale transformation programs to bespoke solution development. Collaborating with a variety of clients and utilizing a range of technology solutions, you will establish a robust foundation for a rewarding and versatile career.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to work at different client locations. While most of our work is based in London, travel will be required as client needs dictate.
Main Duties
As a Graduate Digital Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating within Agile teams to solve client challenges using technical awareness, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Conducting user research to identify user needs and pain points through workshops, interviews, and other methods, translating findings into actionable insights.
- Mapping user journeys, flows, and business processes to provide clarity for strategic and design decisions.
- Developing and refining prototypes and wireframes to iteratively test ideas and validate product design decisions.
- Facilitating effective delivery teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborative, and focused on optimal outcomes for users and stakeholders.
- Supporting the identification, analysis, capture, and validation of business and user requirements.
- Bridging the gap between business and technology, influencing technology decisions to ensure accessible, user-centered, and impactful solutions.
- Translating user insights into Agile delivery items, such as user stories and epics, to guide technical development.
- Utilizing technical awareness to pinpoint root problems, propose effective solutions, and ensure alignment with user and business needs.

You should possess strong critical thinking skills, enjoy tackling difficult problems systematically, and be a highly motivated self-starter. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the confidence to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A good quality degree or a relevant professional qualification.
- Interest and aptitude for digital and/or human-centered technology, demonstrated through your degree or other experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with teams and various stakeholders.
- Ability to pragmatically navigate constraints (time, budget, context) to achieve the best outcomes for users and clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple demands and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence in communicating ideas effectively.
- Broader business experience or exposure to science/technology sectors, along with an awareness of project delivery or agile methodologies, would be beneficial.
- A digital design portfolio showcasing experience in design or related fields is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with web design tools like Figma, Lucid, or similar is desirable but not essential.
