The Role: Information Technology Operations Specialist

As an Information Technology Operations Specialist at Solflare, you will be crucial in maintaining the stability, security, and documentation of our core IT operations. Your responsibilities will encompass identity and access management, employee onboarding and offboarding, IT asset and license management, endpoint security, and providing daily IT support to the team.

You will collaborate closely with employees across the company to ensure they have reliable tools, appropriate access at all times, and consistent, clear processes. This position is ideal for an individual who is structured, meticulous, user-focused, and eager to enhance, document, and automate IT operations as Solflare expands.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identity & Access Management: Manage centralized identity and access, including user accounts, groups, roles, MFA, and SSO.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Develop and maintain formalized onboarding and offboarding procedures for account provisioning/deprovisioning, access rights, and equipment.
  • IT Asset Management: Oversee IT assets across devices, cloud resources, and licenses, covering procurement, inventory tracking, classification, cost monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Endpoint Management & Security: Handle endpoint management, OS updates, software deployment, patching, and upkeep of agent-based security tools.
  • Privileged and External Accounts: Govern privileged, service, shared, and external collaborator accounts to ensure proper access and security.
  • IT Support & Ticketing: Address employee requests and incidents via a ticketing system, delivering dependable, timely, and user-centric IT support.
  • Documentation & Automation: Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge bases (both internal and user-facing), and pinpoint opportunities for automation and system integrations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in IT operations, systems administration, or IT support roles.
  • IAM Knowledge: Strong grasp of identity and access management concepts (users, groups, roles, MFA, SSO), ideally within a G Suite environment.
  • User Lifecycle Management: Practical experience with employee onboarding/offboarding workflows and user account management.
  • Endpoint & OS Management: Experience with endpoint management, OS patching, and software deployment, preferably in an Apple environment.
  • ITSM & Ticketing: Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
  • Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of IT security principles and access control best practices.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to clearly document procedures and maintain operational knowledge bases.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with a service-oriented approach.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Workspace Administrator, ITIL, Security+, or similar).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or workflow automation tools).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS administration.
  • Experience with IT asset, license, and cost management.
