Who We Are

The NL T&M engineering team at Solera Holdings, LLC. is responsible for delivering development work strictly defined by a unique Statement of Work (SoW) for each customer.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer, as part of the Professional Services team, who will be responsible for delivering Premium Calculation Engine Software for the PCE's update on customers. This role reports directly into T&M NL manager.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
• Apply expertise in MGA channel, understanding insurer outsourcing processes like acceptance, claims handling, and policy administration.
• Develop Premium Calculation Engines (PCE’s) for pricing and acceptance rules, quotation platforms, and VPI platforms to link backoffice applications to PCEs.
• Enable managing risks and the performance of the MGA portfolio with our data processing services.
• Work closely with customers to jointly create PCEs and connect them to market workflow systems.
• Analyze requests and present optimal software delivery outcomes, working independently with a focus on results.
• Utilize excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking broadly beyond immediate solutions.
• Manage multiple parallel running projects and deliveries, demonstrating excellent time management and self-organization.
• Collaborate keenly across the T&M team and with colleagues in Professional Services and Product.

What You’ll Bring

Key Competencies

• 5-7 years of experience in software development.
• Technical knowledge: Primary requirements include PHP, SQL (MySQL), and Excel. Desirable: Insurance knowledge.
• Proven ability to successfully work with customers to build PCE’s, with a strong customer focus.
• Understanding of the insurance industry.
• Capacity to grow the platform by contributing to its development and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence and responsibility.
• Experience of delivering solutions on time and to quality standards.

Tools and Skills

• GIT, JIRA and Confluence experience.
• Qualified and experienced in Agile methodologies.
