Software QA Engineer Overview

A Software QA Engineer at Solarity is responsible for manual testing, reviewing requirements, environment setup, and participating as a key member of the QA team. The role focuses on using system knowledge to work escalations and identify areas for improvement in both software and QA procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of features across multiple development teams.
  • Create and update test cases, develop test suites, and identify regression testing needs.
  • Conduct performance and load tests and report test results.
  • Set up and upgrade testing environments.
  • Analyze and improve current test methodologies.
  • Evaluate and resolve escalations for production issues.
  • Comply with Solarity’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant technical experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in software testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
