We are actively seeking a skilled Risk Controlling Manager with robust technical expertise in financial risk management. This role involves supporting the Head of Risk Controlling & Financial Risk Management in ensuring the implementation and ongoing compliance with both internal and external regulatory Risk Management requirements across the bank and the entire group.
Your Role as Risk Controlling Manager
- Carry out comprehensive risk inventory and develop the overall risk profile for both the bank and the group.
- Execute operational risk management and controlling processes, encompassing identification, assessment, control, monitoring, and communication for the bank and its group entities.
- Develop and maintain the System of Risk Indicators and Risk Early Detection Procedures specifically for Financial Risk across the bank and the group.
- Conduct validations of methodologies employed in the ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process) and prepare detailed Validation Reports.
- Monitor the prevailing risk situation and risk-bearing capacity, while also reviewing established limits for the bank and the group.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for Financial Risk Management and other relevant stakeholders as required, for both the bank and the group.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing initiatives within the financial risk team.
- Report on 'Risk Management' and related strategic initiatives to Solaris management and relevant Committees upon request, at both the bank and group levels.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings with Auditors, regulators, and other third-party stakeholders as needed for the bank and the group.
- Fulfill all pertinent tasks related to outsourcing agreements for Risk Management processes involving daughter companies, where applicable.

- At least 3 years of experience in financial risk management within a retail bank, financial institution, or a related industry.
- Possess solid economic, business, and strong mathematical/statistical knowledge.
- An educational degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Management, or another relevant field.
- A good understanding of software solutions used for risk management.
- Sound knowledge of German banking law and regulatory standards pertinent to risk management.
- Fluent English communication skills are essential to effectively engage with our international team members. German communication skills are considered a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated analytical and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Conflict ability, meaning the willingness and capacity to defend your position effectively, even against resistance.
- High level of integrity.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
