As a Bonus Programs and Sales Compensation Expert, you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of our global variable compensation programs, with a strong focus on sales incentives. You will ensure our plans drive performance, support business priorities, and remain competitive and financially sound. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with Sales, Finance, and P&C, in addition to advising senior sales and business leaders on all aspects of variable pay, quota design, and performance outcomes, influencing decisions through data, and communicating complex concepts clearly to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage sales compensation plans that align with company strategy and market insights, as well as motivate high performance.
- Analyze sales performance, payout data, and trends to assess plan effectiveness and ROI, delivering dashboards and reporting.
- Lead the design and administration of incentive programs (e.g., Presidents Club, SPIFFs), and evaluate program impact, recommending improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with sales leadership on annual quota methodology and target-setting, monitoring attainment and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Partner with the Reward team on the design, modelling, and governance of Non-Sales and Leadership Short-Term Incentive schemes.
- Ensure variable compensation plans align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards, maintaining documentation and applying rigorous governance to minimize risk and ensure consistency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in sales compensation analysis.
- Proficiency in using compensation management software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet tools.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance regulations related to compensation practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
