The Impact You Will Have
As a Technical Solutions Architect, Power Platform, you will leverage your creativity, thoughtfulness, and subject matter expertise to help customers explore and adopt productivity solutions that enable secure collaboration and foster meaningful interactions.
You will articulate the possibilities for customers to transform their business using the Power Platform. Working alongside Softchoice's sales professionals, you will play a vital role in architecting Power Platform solutions to create modern workplaces for customers. As an ambassador of the Softchoice brand, you will represent the company's value as one of North America's top solutions providers by unlocking customers' potential to be future-ready through technology. Softchoice offers a platform for you to display your ideas and proven successes, making a difference for customers.
What You'll Do
- Lead the presales and design of cloud platform solutions for customers.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure the success of strategic IT initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to current and future customers, providing technical expertise and recommendations for IT challenges.
- Architect end-to-end solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, AI Builder, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio.
- Guide and support customers on Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE) practices.
- Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and performant Power Platform solutions.
- Define architectural best practices, security models, and governance frameworks.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, Dynamics 365, and third-party services.
- Support data modeling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for existing and new applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other solution architects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present solution concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel between the US and Canada is required.
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Advanced knowledge and technical experience in developing and architecting Power Platform solutions.
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Model Driven and Canvas), Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop RPA), Power Pages, AI Builder, and Power Platform COE.
- Experience building technical solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Power Fx, etc.).
- Technical expertise in solution deployment strategies, Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps – CD-CI, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Dataverse plug-ins.
- Proven success in distilling technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for unfamiliar audiences.
- Robust critical thinking skills with a mindset for understanding both the big picture and the small details.
- Aptitude and passion for learning new technologies and sharing knowledge with teammates.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security roles, and Power Platform admin best practices.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to draft customer-facing Statements of Work (SOW).
- 5 years’ work experience with increasing responsibility in technical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Software development experience.
- Experience re-writing and re-engineering custom legacy applications to Power Apps solutions.
- Technical certifications related to Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficiency with tools, technologies, and frameworks such as Dataverse API, XRMToolbox, Postman, JavaScript, Relational Databases, Microsoft SharePoint Online, AI Builder, Azure AI, and Scrum.
- Strong knowledge of Power Automate (Cloud Flows, Desktop) and Power BI.
- Experience with Copilot Studio.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, solution packaging, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
- Proficiency in SQL, Power Fx, JSON, and working with RESTful APIs, Graph API.
- Experience in MS Teams SDK framework.
- Bonus: Knowledge of MS Syntax.
- Bonus: Familiarity and/or knowledge of Microsoft Copilot Studio and integrations with Power Platform, Graph/3rd party connector.
Pay Range
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position in Ontario is $96,080 - $153,720 annually. For Illinois, it is $128,080 - $161,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
