Job Description
About the Role
The Nuclear Pharmacist I at SOFIE plays a critical role in preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals used in diagnosis and treatment. Working in a cleanroom environment, you will compound, verify quality, and ensure safety standards are maintained under strict cGMP and FDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals with precision.
- Utilize Pinestar for daily dose management and reporting.
- Perform synthesis, quality control, and reagent preparation for FDG and NaF.
- Maintain compliance with USP, state pharmacy requirements, and SOPs.
- Oversee aseptic procedures, radiation safety, and quality assurance activities.
- Supervise and train nuclear pharmacy technicians.
- Collaborate with the QA division to address quality issues.
Qualifications
- B.S. or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy school; nuclear certification preferred.
- Valid state pharmacy license (or ability to obtain post-hire).
- Experience in nuclear pharmacy, PET, or radiation safety is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Pinestar is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Up to 10% travel required.
