About The Role

Socure is expanding its government affairs presence in Washington, D.C. We are looking for a policy-savvy Government Affairs Manager to drive advocacy strategies with Congress, federal agencies, and industry coalitions. You will work across legal, product, communications, and GTM teams to shape the policy environment that supports Socure’s mission.

This role is fully remote but requires frequent in-person engagements with key stakeholders in the D.C. area including Capitol Hill, federal agencies, and industry events.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive federal advocacy strategy and build relationships with Congress and federal agencies.
  • Advise on public policy issues impacting identity, cybersecurity, AI, and financial services.
  • Lead engagements with policymakers to shape regulatory outcomes.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments to provide actionable insights.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align policy and business development priorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and policy communications.
  • Represent Socure in meetings, hearings, roundtables, and industry events.

What You Bring

  • 4–7 years in public policy, government relations or legislative affairs.
  • Working knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes, especially in technology or financial services.
  • Exceptional communication and bipartisan relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to translate complex policies into actionable guidance.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with cross-functional collaboration experience.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with federal procurement, AML/KYC, or NIST frameworks.
  • Background in identity verification, AI governance, or digital trust policy.
