About the V.I.E. Compliance Data Protection Role

The Compliance Department at Société Générale is seeking a V.I.E. Compliance Data Protection professional to support efforts in preventing market misconduct, combating money laundering, and thwarting the financing of terrorism and corruption. This role contributes to the transformation of our societies with a focus on compliance and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Americas Data Protection Compliance Officer with oversight of SG Americas data protection and privacy programs.
  • Participate in the AMER Common Information Gathering Meeting and Analysis (CIGMA) process.
  • Coordinate CIGMA reviews, draft Compliance Risk Assessment memos, and revise policies as rules change.
  • Conduct training and draft communications regarding AMER regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects supporting the Compliance Regulatory Oversight team.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate with a Master degree in personal data protection, law, or related field.
  • Experience in financial or legal services is appreciated.
  • Fluent in English with proficient use of MS Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The VIE Assignment

This VIE assignment is based in Montréal with a start date approximately three months from application. The position lasts for 24 months and is part of an international development program with eligibility requirements set by Business France. Applicants must provide proof of M2 diploma validation two weeks before the start of the assignment.
