Specialist Systems Engineer - Webhosting
Société Générale Global Solution Centre is seeking a Specialist Systems Engineer with a focus on Webhosting. This role requires a strong technical solution mindset and extensive experience in production support for middleware technologies.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production support for Middleware technologies including Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat, and WildFly/JBoss.
- Expertise in Java Application Server installation for various versions.
- Experience in installation and upgrade of various middleware technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Must have knowledge of SSL.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and handling Production P1 calls.
- Proficiency in Shell/Python Scripting and strong experience on Linux platforms.
- Technical experience with Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat, and WildFly/JBoss.
- Hands-on experience handling production issues.
- Experience with Apache installation, including configuration setup such as SSL installation, Virtual host setup, and proxy setup.
- Experience with WebLogic installation for various versions, including patch installation and version upgrades.
- Experience with WebLogic configuration setup such as Data source, SSL, JMS, and LDAP.
- Hands-on experience providing support in production environments.
- Experience with Tomcat installation, SSL configuration setup, and JVM configuration setup.
- Knowledge of upgrading Tomcat from one version to another.
- Knowledge of WildFly/JBoss to provide support.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with a strong technical solution mindset.
- 7+ years of experience with WAS Administration activities.
- Candidate must possess 5+ years of experience supporting production issues in a large production environment.
- Experience in UNIX OS and Shell/Python script, and basic SQL and Java knowledge.
- Ability to understand and debug WAS administration and development-related issues.
- Experience in providing architectural solutions for web container platforms.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, and a self-starter attitude.
