About The Role
As Programs & Communications Intern, you will significantly enhance the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) team’s operational efficiency and productivity. You will be responsible for providing support in handling administrative tasks, fostering creative ideas, and ensuring organizational support. This internship would be an excellent foundation for learning about the music business and our major events planning process, all while working in a fast-paced environment. The dynamic nature of the CSHF ensures that you will be constantly engaged and challenged, fostering personal and professional growth throughout your internship journey. This is an opportunity to learn and grow within the Canadian music industry, network with industry professionals, work with globally known brands, and make meaningful contributions to the Hall of Fame's initiatives. We offer a rewarding experience that will lay a solid foundation for future endeavours within the Canadian Music Industry.
What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and coordination support across Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame programming, including the 2026 Induction Ceremony, Breakthrough Songwriter Award, Song & Score Week, and related campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist with event logistics, scheduling, guest tracking, approvals, and internal documentation.
- Support marketing and communications campaigns, including social media, asset coordination, and campaign timelines.
- Help manage databases, contact lists, invitations, and reporting related to events and activations.
- Contribute to day-of-event operations and post-event follow-up as required.
- Provide general administrative support as needed
What You Will Bring / Qualifications & Experience
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of Canadian music creators and trends in pop culture
- Currently enrolled in/recently graduated from an Event Planning, Music Industry, Business or Marketing and Communications program
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Marketing and social media experience (an asset)
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop and WordPress (an asset)
