Role: Senior Manual Test Engineer

The Senior Manual Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality through systematic testing, bug identification, and detailed documentation. This role requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to verify that the software meets specified requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed test cases and scenarios to validate software functionality.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, cases, and reports.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and verify bug fixes.
  • Perform functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing.
  • Review software requirements and provide feedback on testability and potential issues.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning sessions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on manual software testing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and various testing methodologies.
  • Experience in test case creation, execution, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Basic automation tool experience (e.g., Selenium).
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
