Role Summary

As the Director of Quality Assurance at Soar, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of QA professionals. You will define and implement comprehensive QA strategies to ensure our mission-critical applications are robust, reliable, and performant. This leadership role demands precision in tracking progress, effective decision-making, and working under pressure to directly impact our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategy & Process: Develop and execute scalable QA strategies with best practices and processes spanning the software development lifecycle.
  • Progress Tracking: Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor team progress and product quality, reporting regularly to leadership.
  • Decision-Making: Make quick, sound, data-driven decisions to maintain quality without hindering release schedules.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee design, development, and execution of test plans, cases, and automation scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate quality across all development stages.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain application stability.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years in QA management or leadership, ideally in fintech or related environments.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience building high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in various testing methodologies and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and data-driven decision making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
