Snowflake is dedicated to empowering enterprises and individuals to achieve their full potential. In this role as Senior Security Engineer Product Security, you are expected to design, plan, and implement solutions that improve and verify the security posture of Snowflake products.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement secure-by-default features.
- Build services and libraries to boost developer productivity in security.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to provide expert advice on secure architecture.
- Create and scale security products with high developer empathy.
- Secure modern software and technologies in a multi-cloud environment.
Required Skills
- Develop threat models and review design documents from a security perspective.
- Empathy and advocacy for improving developer experience.
- Experience with bug detection in various languages: Java, C++, JavaScript, Go, and Python.
- Collaborative communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to lead with data-driven, scalable security solutions.
- Experience designing distributed software systems with robust APIs (gRPC, REST).
Preferred Skills
- Production service development in Go.
- Debugging and optimizing SQL queries.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-code (terraform, pulumi).
- Experience building scalable and concurrent web applications.
