Role Overview: Senior Counsel

As Senior Counsel at Snap Inc, you will act as a trusted advisor for the Legal & Policy Team. You will partner with Legal, Finance, Strategy, People and other cross-functional teams and advise on complex legal issues, develop policies, draft documents, manage corporate governance initiatives, and support bespoke transactions and compliance matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise on equity compensation, benefits programs, and insider trading prevention initiatives.
  • Manage corporate governance tasks including board committee materials and record administration.
  • Prepare and review SEC filings and advise on securities law matters.
  • Support environmental, social, and governance efforts across the company.
  • Collaborate broadly with cross-functional teams including executive management, finance, marketing, and engineering.
  • Develop bespoke legal documents and structures for diverse transactions.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming regulations and industry best practices.
  • Advise on business strategies and mitigate legal risks in various company operations.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong business judgment, creative problem solving, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal topics clearly. You must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited university
  • Active membership in at least one state bar
  • 8+ years of corporate legal experience
  • At least one year as in-house counsel
