The Role

As a Senior Counsel at Snap Inc, you will partner with Legal, Finance, Strategy, People, and other cross-functional teams to advise on cutting-edge legal issues globally. You will manage corporate governance, prepare SEC filings, advise on equity compensation and insider trading, support environmental and social governance matters, and craft bespoke legal solutions. This role requires clear communication, collaborative teamwork, and an ability to navigate fast-changing business environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on equity compensation, benefits programs, and insider trading prevention.
  • Manage corporate governance including board committee support and SEC filings.
  • Support environmental, social, and governance reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including executive, finance, and marketing.
  • Develop legal structures for bespoke transactions and guide internal legal strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong business judgment, creative practical legal solutions, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach are key. You must clearly communicate complex legal topics and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited university.
  • Active membership in at least one state bar.
  • 8+ years of practicing corporate law with at least one year as in-house counsel.
