Overview
Snap Inc. is a technology company known for its innovative products such as Snapchat, Lens Studio, and Spectacles. The Legal Team acts as an in-house law firm helping the company navigate complex legal issues, including privacy, product, IP, commercial transactions, and more.
Role: Privacy Program Manager
You will join a growing team responsible for managing Snap's global privacy program. This role collaborates with Legal, Security, Engineering, Design and other departments to support Snap’s privacy and user safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities of Snap's privacy program
- Coordinate responses to regulatory privacy and safety inquiries
- Ensure compliance with internal privacy policies and new data protection laws
- Collaborate for ongoing compliance with EU Digital Services Act and UK Online Safety Act
- Audit privacy program and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Review and update privacy policies and disclosures
- Drive continuous improvement of Snap’s privacy-by-design framework
- Create and conduct periodic privacy trainings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent organizational and program management skills under pressure, effective cross-functional communication, attention to detail, team collaboration, and a creative approach to tight deadlines. Familiarity with AI tooling for team productivity and a strong sense of humor are valued.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of privacy program management experience
- Experience with domestic and global privacy/data security issues (GDPR, EU DSA, UK OSA, CCPA/CPRA, etc.)
- Certifications in data protection (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are a plus
- Experience in a fast-paced international organization
Work Environment
