Privacy Engineer Level 4

Overview

Snap Inc is a technology company focused on enhancing communication through its camera-powered products. As a Privacy Engineer Level 4, you will work on safeguarding systems and data while preserving user privacy across Snap's ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Apply differential privacy, adversarial ML, and cryptography in system design.
• Develop and guide the creation of privacy products and features.
• Build systems for end-to-end encryption, private machine learning, and effective data management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong fundamentals in Software and Privacy Engineering including scalable system design, high attention to detail, and solid interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years post-Bachelor’s security-related experience or alternative advanced degree experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Privacy, Cryptography, Statistics, or ML is preferred.

Work Environment

Snap practices a “default together” policy, expecting team members to work in-office 4+ days per week to build culture and enhance collaboration.
