Role Overview: Privacy Engineer Level 4
Snap Security teams protect the trust and safety of Snapchatters by securing systems and data. As a Privacy Engineer Level 4, you will develop advanced privacy-preserving systems using techniques like differential privacy, adversarial ML, and cryptography. You will guide the development of industry leading privacy products and build systems including end-to-end encryption and private machine learning solutions.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement privacy-preserving systems.
- Apply differential privacy, adversarial ML, and cryptography techniques.
- Guide development of industry leading privacy features.
- Ensure compliance and scalability in privacy solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong software and privacy engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver scalable, maintainable systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field along with relevant experience, or advanced degree with specialized security experience. Proficiency in C/C++ or Java or Python.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (PhD) in Privacy, Cryptography, Statistics, or ML is a plus.
Work Environment
Snap practices a “default together” policy requiring office presence 4+ days per week.
