We’re looking for a Principal, Art Director to join the Creative team at Snap Inc.What You’ll Do:
- Art direct ideas across all mediums – from brand campaign, branded experience, new product launches, features and company developments to the world.
- Own and be responsible for the elevation of the art direction and visual craft across projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Director to maintain coherent and consistent visual language and expressions across all channels.
- Lead the development and execution of high priority projects from concept through production and delivery.
- Collaborate with and lead a diverse mix of internal and external partners to create best-in-class advertising and marketing campaigns across a wide range of verticals, disciplines and markets.
- Proactively navigate a complicated cross-functional marketing organization.
- Stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape, the latest visual trends and new technologies to keep Snap’s work innovative and relevant.
- Help to grow, develop and define the team's design culture.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, motion design, filmmaking or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience working as an art director in advertising agencies – preferably a mix of in-house, external agency or freelance.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful campaigns and innovative, high-impact projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and other industry standard design tools.
- Experience in B2B and growth marketing in tech and social media.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Generative AI.
- Proficient working with Keynote and Figma.
- Specific expertise in After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience working in a Google Docs lead project environment.
- Frame.io knowledge.

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually.
